The sound of toddlers greeting each other by name at our last Praise and Play session reminded me of a quote that I heard on the radio from a 4 yr old, 'You know someone loves you by the way they say your name. When they love you it sounds safe in their mouth.' I continue to be amazed and delighted at what very young children can teach us!
As adults, there's so much we can learn from very young children, to share their enthusiasm for life; the wonder and discovery about themselves, the world and God. We have much fun doing this at Praise and Play, so any adults who want an excuse to come - bring along a toddler or baby or both and enjoy!
This past year we have covered themes of; 'Friends of God', 'All about me' and 'God gives us families'. We have also celebrated Harvest, Christmas and Easter festivals.
We meet from 1.30pm to 2.30pm at the back of church on the first and third Thursday of the month with a break during August. Currently we are 'Finding out about Jesus' and celebrating Pentecost.
